Born in 1960, Warsaw -Poland
The sculptures of Xavery Wolski are delicate, monochromatic and poetic. They often impersonate the human body or various parts from it, such as bone, teeth, breasts, and torsos. Other works appear as fossils, shells, pods and seeds. Although the subject matter is fragile, so is the terracotta or bronze that they are often made of. They ambiguously exist as reflections of the past
